Departments
Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
In this department students learn about synthesis of pharmaceutical compound there Purification , identification & Analysis.
The course content is methodically structured and designed to prepare the students for a career in academia as well as the pharmaceutical industry. This Department is equipped with modern and sophisticated Instruments like HPLC, FTIR, UV Spectrophotometer, Conductivity meter, Flame Photometer Etc.

Department of Pharmacognosy
It mainly deals with medicines obtained from natural sources & there uses along with application in different medicinal system. Lab is equipped with Camera Lucida, Muffle Furnance, Hot Air Oven, pH Meter, projection microscope, binocular microscope etc. The department of Pharmacognosy caters to the modern needs of Industry by providing conducive ambiance for learning and develop skills to befit the industrial and academic demands. The growing needs for herbal drugs standardization and analysis in the pharmaceuctical, herbal/ayurvedic, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical industries has paved the way for the requirement of well-trained personnel. Our department has been continuously providing skilled hands to industry and academic demands.
The programme is designed to train the students in various aspects of herbal drug technology viz., herbal drug standardization, phytochemical evaluation, development, and formulation of herbal drugs; evaluation and validation of traditional herbal products, and production of plant secondary metabolites by Plant Tissue Culture.
Department of Pharmacology
This involves experimental demonstration of drug effect on different tissues of organs . It is tested on animals like frogs, guinea pigs etc. Lab is equipped with Sherringtons Kymograph Machine, Spygmomanometer, Convulsiometur, Plethysmograph, Actophotometer, Ratarod, Analgesiometer.
Pharmacology is the branch of biology concerned with the study of drug action, where a drug can be broadly defined as any man-made, natural, or endogenous (from within body) molecule which exerts a biochemical or physiological effect on the cell, tissue, organ, or organism (sometimes the word pharmacon is used as a term to encompass these endogenous and exogenous bioactive species). More specifically, it is the study of the interactions that occur between a living organism and chemicals that affect normal or abnormal biochemical function.
If substances have medicinal properties, they are considered pharmaceuticals. The field encompasses drug composition and properties, synthesis and drug design, molecular an d cellular mechanisms, organ/systems mechanisms, signal transduction/cellular communication, molecular diagnostics, interactions, toxicology, chemical biology, therapy, and medical applications and antipathogenic capabilities. The two main areas of pharmacology are pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. Pharmacodynamics studies the effects of a drug on biological systems, and Pharmacokinetics studies the effects of biological systems on a drug.

Department of Pharmaceutics
The course mainly deals with development of dosage forms and its evaluation. For this ,essential facilities such as ten station Cadmach Tablet compression machine, eight station digital dissolution test apparatus, disintegration test apparatus, friability test apparatus, tray dryer, orbital shaker incubator, stability chamber Double cone blender, Bottle sealing machine, Bottle Washing machine R&D and Brokefield viscometer . Available in Department.Pharmaceutics is the discipline of pharmacy that deals with the process of turning a new chemical entity (NCE) or old drugs into a medication to be used safely and effectively by patients.
It is also called the science of dosage form design. There are many chemicals with pharmacological properties, but need special measures to help them achieve therapeutically relevant amounts at their sites of action. Pharmaceutics helps relate the formulation of drugs to their delivery and disposition in the body.
Department of Instrumentation
Instrumentation Department is Well equipped with all modern and sophisticated instruments like ICP-OES, GC-MS/MS, GC-FID, HPLC, FTIR etc.
This department deals with quality control testing of different types of products. These facilities serve both academic and industrial research.

Computer lab:
Computer lab has been provided to the student and staff. Networked on LAN system and also with the Broadband internet connection.
Medicinal Plant Garden:
The setup of medicinal plant garden is well planned & maintained. The medicinal plants are procured from various herbal gardens & enable the students to learn about the identification and basic information of the medicinal plants.
Library:
An Excellent Library is an important aspect of the educational institution. The Library has been updated with the 750 titles, 3500 Volumes of the various books along with the national & international journals.
Animal House:
Animal House is constructed with all the facilities according to the CPCSEA norms for conducting experiments based on B.pharm & M.Pharm.
