Code of Ethics in Research
Preface
The focus of SDDVCOPRC is on high-caliber research and innovation in the pharmaceutical sciences. The College often conducts research and offers consulting services. The college has implemented this policy to highlight and encourage research in order to guarantee an ethical research environment for the teachers and students.
Objectives of policy:
- To encourage the institute to have a top-notch research environment.
- To promote the publication of review and research articles in Scopus, Web of Science, and UGC approved and indexed journals.
- To provide the sufficient facilities and resources required for research.
- To conduct cooperative, interdisciplinary research.
- To encourage mentors and students to conduct research in an ethical manner.
General Guidelines on Code of Ethics in Research
Overall Responsibilities of mentors and teachers: The following essential values ought to be included by researchers in their work:
- Social: Research should address concerns that the researcher is aware of in the local, national, and worldwide communities. They ought to support the growth of affluent and equitable communities.
- Professional: The researchers should adhere to the following guidelines in order to be professional.
- Integrity: The accuracy and objectivity of reports from other scientists should be dependable for every researcher.
- Quality: Whether research is conducted independently or under supervision, researchers are in charge of ensuring that it is accurate, reliable, and of high quality. Only intellectual, technological, and financial brilliance in his field of study should be the focus of the research. The best quality standards ought to be followed when organizing, carrying out, and reporting research.
- Accountability: Each researcher is in charge of ensuring that their study is original and that they report their findings. If a contract was made before the research, it must be followed for the dissemination of the findings.
3.Kindness: This has to do with conducting research in an ethically sound way that doesn’t hurt anyone.
4.Fairness: It is one of the main goals of this institute and relates to treating every person fairly. The following are at least four facets of justice that uphold a favourable research environment:
- Maintain equality, fairness of particular agreement and transduction between the participants in the research as well as their representatives.
- To maintain fairness of distribution of all the benefits in between teacher and student to complete the research project successfully.
- Follow ethical community and Health and Hazard Safety guidelines for Fairness of contribution requested if human volunteers and biological subjects are used in research.

- Fairness of punishment imposed: Procedures and acts pertaining to violations of regulations or ethics in research are covered here, and if anyone who is found guilty will be punished ethically.
5.Sexual harassment or ragging: Sexual harassment or ragging in any form should be refrained and should be reported to the sexual harassment cell and anti-ragging committee of the institute.
