  1. Constitution of Research Advisory Committee

Research Advisory Committee (RAC) was constituted to streamline and support the research effort of staff members and students. The Principal is the chairman of the committee and different staff members from various subject domains are included to provide help with their insight. The primary role of the Research Advisory Committee is to advise and support the development, implementation, review and dissemination of all research and evaluation activities. Meeting should be conducted twice in a year preferable one meeting at the starting and other at the end of academic year.

  • Encourage, promote and coordinate research in areas of healthcare
  • Develop a comprehensive list of potential funding agencies and the requirements for submission
  • Encourage all faculty members to submit at least one proposal in a year for funding
  • Coordinate research activities and enhance Industry-Institution collaborative research for further promoting Industry link and help improve student placement
  • Up gradation of laboratory & Library Facilities
  • Motivate the students and the Faculty member for upcoming Avishkar in Mumbai University.
  • Planning all the research activities without disturbing class/ lab work and examination.
  • To create awareness about IPR/Patents among students and Faculties motivate them to apply.
  • To encourage and promote the Faculty and students for their research work/project publication in Scopus indexed Journal.

 

Functions of R&D Committee:

  • Encourage faculty members to write research proposals, conduct multidisciplinary research, create and develop products, and publish in reputable journals and conferences.
 
  • To create and promote memorandums of understanding (MOU) with companies and R&D organisations for consultation, joint research, sponsored projects, industry-institute contact, and so on.
 
  • To organise discussions and exchanges with notable persons from industry, R&D organisations, and prestigious universities in order to get a better grasp of contemporary research technique and practises.
 
  • To recommend peer-reviewed national and international journals for central library subscription.
 
  • Create research proposals for laboratory upgrades via AICTE/UGC/MHRD/NMU funding possibilities.
 
  • To encourage students and professors to apply for patents or other forms of intellectual property.
 
  • To hold national conferences, seminars, symposiums, and workshops, among other things.
 
  • To fund for workshops, training programmes, seminars, conferences, and the Faculty Development Program, as well as for personnel who attend workshops, conferences, and paper presentations outside the institution. It also covers the purchase of software for different departments for research purposes (like Design expert, statistics etc.).
 
  • Inspire teachers and students to create, construct, and execute feasible functioning projects for the benefit of the institution and society.
 
  • To encourage students and staff to present technical papers/projects in national conferences, competitions, and exhibits at the very least.
