On the occasion of *MBDD Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0*, a *Mega Blood Donation Camp* was successfully organized at *Panvel Railway Station* on 17 th September 2025 from *9:00 AM to 6:00 PM*. The event was coordinated by the *NSS Unit of Shri D. D. Vispute College of Pharmacy and Research Center, New Panvel*.
The camp was *inaugurated by Hon. Shri Prashant Thakur, MLA of Panvel, who encouraged the spirit of voluntary blood donation among the public. Following the inauguration, NSS volunteers took a *pledge* to promote and support blood donation, emphasizing its importance in saving lives.
NSS volunteers actively participated in motivating and guiding donors throughout the day. Their dedication played a vital role in the smooth execution of the camp and in spreading awareness about the importance of regular blood donation.
During the camp, a total of *98 units of blood* were collected. The blood collection was managed by *JJ Hospital*, whose team of doctors and medical staff provided essential support and ensured safe and hygienic procedures throughout the event.
This initiative not only contributed significantly to the local blood banks but also fostered a strong sense of community service and responsibility among the students and the public.
