The **Seven Days NSS Residential Camp** was successfully organized by **Shri D. D. Vispute College of Pharmacy and Research Center, Panvel** at **Taragaon, Panvel, District Raigad** from **22nd February to 28th February 2026**. The camp aimed to inculcate social responsibility, leadership qualities, and community service values among NSS volunteers.
On **22nd February 2026**, a total of **47 NSS volunteers** reached the camp venue and actively participated in the camp activities with great enthusiasm. The camp was formally inaugurated in the presence of distinguished guests **Dr. Devidas Patil (Social Worker), Mr. Balkrishna Savant (PRO, Yusuf Meherally Centre), Dr. Dhruv Mehta (Physiotherapist), Mr. Harish Waghe (Treasurer, Yusuf Meherally Centre), and Mr. Mukul Ghadge (Ex-NSS Leader and Business Manager).**
The inaugural session began with a warm welcome of the guests. **Mr. Balkrishna Savant** provided detailed information about the camp and introduced the activities and social initiatives carried out under **SATHI – Yusuf Meherally Centre**, which inspired the volunteers to work for community welfare.
Following this, **Dr. Devidas Patil** conducted an informative session on the **objectives of the NSS camp and the importance of participating in such residential camps**, explaining how these activities help in developing social awareness, discipline, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility among students.
After a short break, **Dr. Dhruv Mehta** delivered an excellent session on **physiotherapy**, sharing his professional experiences and guiding students about physical health, posture management, and the role of physiotherapy in day-to-day life.
Later, **Mr. Mukul Ghadge** conducted an interactive session on **NSS**, explaining the **motto of NSS, its activities, and the difference between a normal student and an NSS volunteer**. He motivated the students to become socially committed citizens and take leadership in community service.
The day concluded with **cultural activities**, where NSS volunteers showcased their talents through various performances, followed by **dinner**. At the end of the day, all students actively participated in **daily diary writing**, reflecting on their learning and experiences.
The first day of the camp was highly informative, motivational, and engaging, setting a positive tone for the remaining days of the NSS residential camp.
