hri D. D. Vispute College of Pharmacy organized a hospital visit for the First Year B. Pharmacy students to MGM Hospital, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, on 30th and 31st January 2026. The visit was arranged with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to the hospital environment and helping them understand the functioning of various hospital departments. A total of 106 students participated in this educational visit, which was conducted over two days to ensure effective interaction and learning.
The visit was coordinated with the support of the HR Department of MGM Hospital, Vashi. Upon arrival, the students were warmly received and oriented by the hospital’s HR team. The students were introduced to the overall structure and working of the hospital, along with detailed explanations of the roles and responsibilities of different departments. Special emphasis was given to familiarizing students with important hospital and healthcare-related terminologies such as IPD (In-Patient Department), OPD (Out-Patient Department), LASA drugs, and other essential professional concepts relevant to hospital and clinical pharmacy practice.
Throughout the visit, the sessions were conducted in an informative and interactive manner. The hospital staff shared their knowledge with clarity and dedication, enabling students to relate their theoretical understanding to real-life hospital practices. The students showed keen interest and actively engaged during the orientation, which helped enhance their understanding of patient care systems, hospital workflow, and professional ethics within a healthcare setup.
The hospital visit proved to be a highly enriching learning experience for the students.
